The FFC representatives are Hassan Sheikh Idris Qadi, a government minister prior to the 1989 coup that brought al-Bashir to power; Al-Siddiq Tawer Kafi; journalist Mohammed al-Fekki Suleiman; Mohamed Osman Hassan al-Taayesh; and Aisha Musa Saeed, the only opposition female representative despite the central role that women have played in the revolution’s success so far.
